How it works

1
Length of trip
All trip times listed are dock to dock. There is flexibility in the hours and launch times. A typical morning trip departs at 7 a.m. while a typical afternoon trip departs at 2 p.m. Evening trips are also available.
Charters are scheduled for 4 or 6 hours, but many trips run a little longer at the captain’s discretion.
Note: Sightseeing trips, burials at sea, and gift certificates are also available. Ask your Captain.
2
Reservations
Reservations require a $100 deposit. All deposits are refundable provided cancellation is made 1 week in advance or due to weather conditions. Weather cancellations are at the Captain's discretion. The deposit can be paid by e-transfer to blueline@hay.net
U.S residents can make other payment arrangements with the Captain. The remainder will be due at the time of the charter. Cash works best.
3
Where to meet
We typically meet up with customers at the boat launch near 55 River Rd. in Grand Bend or 10072 Poplar Ave. in Port Franks. Guests can park facing the sailboats on River Rd. in Grand Bend.
Notes: Fish cleaning and packaging is done for free! Just leave a cooler in your car to take fish home. Lodging can be arranged upon request.
The details

The boat
You will be fishing out of a 2017 KingFisher 27 ft. boat. This beauty is fully equipped with an enclosed cabin (with toilet) and state-of-the-art fishing tackle (including west coast mooching rods if requested) and electronics. This includes a Simrad GPS/Fishfinders, Autopilot, and Radar for those foggy days. We also use Cannon Optimum downriggers and Cisco electric planer reels. This vessel accommodates up to 6 guests. A typical charter will use lead core and copper line on planer boards, dipsy divers, and downriggers.

Types of fish
On Lake Huron we target King (Chinook) Salmon, Atlantic Salmon, Coho Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout, and Walleye (Pickerel). Sizes range from 2-25 lbs. depending on species.

Where we fish
We will be fishing the Canadian waters of southern Lake Huron. This includes Kettle Point to Port Franks to Grand Bend to Bayfield. During the summer months we may go as far as the Canada-USA border in the middle of Lake Huron.
